SPOKEN ENGLISH CLASS LESSON PLAY

Topic: Talking About The Weather

 

Communication Objectives:

 

1.To know the different kinds of weather and seasons.

 

2.To know what season and weather do the students like best.

 

Warm Up :

 

1.Let the student sing a song:

 

Song: You Raise me Up

 

When I am down and oh my soul,so weary,

 

When troubles come and my heart burdened be,

 

Then I am still and wait here in the silence,

 

Until you come and sit a while with me ,

2  Ask the students what are different kinds of seasons and weathers 

do they know.

 

   Enumerate and write all the vocabularies that they know regarding the 

topic.

 

3  Ask the students,"What is the weather like today ?"

 

Vocabulary:

 

Nice,sure,weather ,season,autumn,winter,summer,spring,hometown,

bitterly,warm,cool,

 

awful,maybe,sunny,snowing,raining,stormy,misty,frosty,hot,cold,

Presentation :

 

1 :Ask the students to speak the correct pronunciation of the

 vocabularies and expressions

                     

2 :Practice and drill the expressions and conversations.

 

3 :Review prevoius lessons.

B.  What's the weather like in your hometown in china?

 

A.  It's warm in spring and cool in autumn .In summer,it's hot and in 

winter it's very cold.

 

B.  What do you think the weather will be like tomorrow ?

 

A.  Maybe it will be ( sunny / snowing / raining / stormy / misty /

Topic :  Time and Date

Communication Objectives:

1. To know how to speak the correct time and date.

2.  To tell the time to the hour, half hour and quarter hour.

3.  To ask question with “What time …”

4.  To say when one does activities.

Warm up:

1. Ask the students how to read the time in English.

2. Draw the different time and let the students read

 and speak the proper time.

Vocabulary:

time, date, quarter after, quarter past, oc’lock, quarter to, January, Februay, March, april, may, 

June, July, August,

 September, October, November, First(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd), fourth(4th), etc. gate, library, leave, departure, restaurant

 

 presentation:

1. Ask the students “what time is it now?”

Useful Expressions:

1. Do you have time ?

2. What time is it ?

3. Could you tell me what time is it now ?

4. It’s quarter after ten . (10:15 am or 10:15 pm)

5. It’s quarter to five . (4:45am / pm) (14:45)

6. It’s ten past two .(2:10 am /pm) (14:10)

7. It’s eleven thirty . (11:30 am / pm)

8. It’s three oc’lock (3:00 am / pm) (15:00)

9. What day is it today ? What’s the date on (Monday) ?

10. What’s the date today ? What’s the date on (Monday) ?

It’s October tenth. (10th) / It’s the sixth (6th) of December.

Conversation 1 :

A. What time does the gate / library (close /open) ?

B. I think it’s eight oc’lock.

A. What time is it now ?

B. It’s quarter past seven.

Conversation 2 :

A. What day do we leave ?

B. We will leave on Saturday.

A. What’s the date on Saturday ?

B.  It’s March first (1th).

 

Conversation 3 :

A. What time is the departure of the (train / plane / bus)?

B. It will depart at nine-twenty in the evening.(9:20 pm) (21:20)

A. We are running out of time. Let’s hurry.

B. What time is thearrival ?

A. It will arrive at one-thirty in the morning. (1:30 am)

Conversation 4 :

A. Excuse me, can you spare me a few minutes ?

B. Sure,. What is it ?

A. I would like to invite you for dinner.

B. What day and time we will meet?

A. It will be on Wednesday at seven oc’lock.

B. Cool. I’ll be there,

A. Let’s meet at Sea Side Restaurant.

B. Ok. I’ll see you then.

1. To identify the different directions in asking the way.

2. To know how to ask the way to go to wny places.

3. To ask question with“where is the……?

Warm Up:

1. Ask the students how they will ask somebody if they don’t know the direction of the place that they want to go .

2. Ask anyone who can give any directions if somebody will 

ask them the way.

Table manners 

1.If you are fork or spoom falls on the floor. pick it up and washing or ask  for another one . 

2.Before you start eaeing put the table rapkin on your lap .

3.you shduld  Excuse the self ,If you must leave the table during a meal .

4.You should ask or request everyone who is near the foods to pass it to your.

5.Don't burp because it is considered rude.

6.Always use the water glass to your right .

7.Keep your elbows off the table.

8.You are bread snd sevice plate is loeated towards the left of and imaginary line across your service plate.

9.If there are two forks on the table ,your should start using the fork far from your plate.

10.If there are  bones in your food,use the spoon and spit the bone on the plate.

11.Do not make the slurping souds when you are eating noodles to show good they are.

12.In the American style,of the using silver ware.You switch the fork to your right hand to bring food into your mouth .

13.Do not ask your hostess for a doggy bag to take hone the food you can't finish .

14.If you are guest ,you should not order the most expensive item on the menu until it is recommended by the host.

15.If you do not want a certain food do not make elaborate excuse why you can have it.

16.Go to the bothroom to remove food in your mouth.

17.If a piece of food falls off your plate ,pick it up and put it on an extra plate.

18.Spoon the soup away from you ,and sip it from the side of the bowl.

19.If you dessert spoon and fork are already on the table, they should be above your plate .

20.Do not throw anything on the floor while you are eating .

21.Do not spit on the floor or make the sound when you spitting while you are eating.

22.Do not prick your nose in front of the table.

23.Look at the eyes of the person when you say cheers ,do not look at the glass.

24.using the serving spoon in every food if you want get some. Don't using your own spoon  or you knife.

25.This is the order of the food in the western countries .

同自然界的许多物体一样，细胞也是由分子组成的。细胞为什么能表现出生命的特征呢？是组成它的分子有什么特殊致之处吗？这些分子在非生命物体中能不能找到？组成这些分子的元素，在非生命物体能不能找到？这些分子又是怎样构成细胞的呢？

要认识细胞这个基本的生命系统，首先要分析这个系统的物质成分—组成细胞的分子。
